Big Brother Naija (Nigerian TV series)

Big Brother Naija, formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria is a Nigerian reality TV show produced by Endemol, it is based on the Big Brother TV series in which contestants normally referred to as housemates live in an isolated house and compete for a large sum cash at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted by viewers. It has had a total of 2 seasons so far with season 3 scheduled to take place in 2018. The inaugural season aired in 2006 and the second season aired in 2017.

Big Brother Naija Season 1

The first season of Big Brother Nigeria featuring 14 housemates premiered on Sunday 5th March 2006, and ended on 4th June of the same year lasting 91 days. Michelle Dede and Olisa Adibua were the hosts and Katung Aduwak emerged as the winner.

Big Brother Naija Season 2: See Gobbe

The second season of Big Brother Nigeria, rebranded as Big Brother Naija was launched on 22nd January 2017 11 years after the first season. Former Big Brother Nigeria season 1 housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was the host and after 78 days, Efe Ejeba emerged winner on 9th April 2017 after receiving 57.61% of the total votes.

The third season of Big Brother Naija is scheduled to start on 28th January 2017 on DSTV channel 198, Ex-housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu who hosted season 2 will return as the host.
