Controversies

1. Majority of Nigerians were left furious after learning that the show was being shot in South Africa and not in Nigeria. The Nigerian government through The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) even carried out an investigation to find out why the event could not hold on Nigerian soil. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, asked the NBC to determine whether Multi-Choice had breached the Nigerian Broadcasting Code in any way conby shooting the show in South Africa, as well as the issue of possible deceit, since the viewing public was never told that the event would be staged outside Nigeria. However it was later found out that the resources in Nigeria especially the unreliable electricity supply could not favour proper shooting of the show while there were much more better and reliable resources in South Africa.   2. On Day 42, male housemate Kemen sparkled controversy after he was disqualified from the house for making sexual moves on fellow housemates TBoss while she was asleep [Read more on that here].
